Leadership Positions
A Leadership Team focused on the mission of MOPS and MOMSnext is much more effective in reaching moms in their community for Jesus. Each member of the team is valuable. Here is the current MOPS and MOMSnext Leadership Team:
Andrea K, Coordinator
Every team needs a leader and the Coordinator sets the tone by preparing leaders, planning meetings and welcoming moms. She develops the MOPS group's story and wants every mom's story to include knowing Jesus. She works closely with her team and the church and provides clear expectations while encouraging resourcefulness and creativity.
Cara S., Assistant Coordinator
Like any organization, your MOPS group will need funds in order to operate. This leader keeps the group, and its leaders, on track. This person will be responsible for signing up moms at the group meeting and registering them for MOPS International membership.
Megan G., Publicity
The Publicity Leader strives for strong connections in the group and the community. She is always ready to share a story about how amazing her MOPS group is. Publicity brings people together - uniting the women in the group, bringing in new moms and establishing a network of prayer and support within the church. Publicity is a vital link to the community and the church.
Lindsay I., Hospitality
The welcoming atmosphere of the MOPS meeting sets the tone and offers a pleasant and sustaining environment where relationships can be built. Leadership in this area should emphasize the welcoming environment. The moment a woman walks through the door of MOPS she knows you have created a place especially for her. The tone set welcomes women and keeps them coming back.
Jennifer W., Prayer and Care
The overall goal of the Prayer and Care Leader will be to help new moms transition well into MOPS. Prayer and Care will reach out for prayers that may be needed, celebrating birthdays, and more!
Mary H., Lead Mentor Mom
A mentor is a fellow traveler who is a little further along on the journey. At MOPS, she brings perspective on mothering, womanhood and relationships based on biblical principles and her own life experience. Women in the group trust this leader to share her wisdom because of her willing ear and confidant heart. She is a spiritual and practical guide as well as a source of hope for the leaders and moms in the MOPS group. MOPS is a group that is run by mothers of preschoolers for mothers of preschoolers, but MOPS knows a Mentor can make all the difference in a healthy, thriving MOPS group and Leadership Team.
Krystina S., MOPS Kids
Providing a caring environment for her children is the best way to keep a mom involved. This leader creates a warm, safe, fun-filled environment for children and understand the importance of letting kids know how much God loves them.
