Welcome to MOPS Kids!
We welcome you to MOPS and are delighted to welcome your child to the MOPS Kids program. The MOPS Kids program is excited to provide your child with an active, structured, enjoyable, and safe environment while you are able to participate in MOPS. The MOPS Kids ministry provides a caring atmosphere for children which:
MOPS Kids workers are committed to the importance of providing quality child care for the MOPS program. They may be women, men or teenagers that have submitted a background check. MOPS Kids workers demonstrate a love for young children and an understanding of their eternal worth.
- Provides loving, quality care for each child. Mothers are most vulnerable when their children are concerned, so this care is an excellent witness of Christ’s love.
- Teaches the Bible. MOPS Kids programs can provide simple Bible stories or more complex programs that resemble Sunday School. For children too young for a structured program, the opportunity to teach them about the love of Jesus can be utilized whenever possible.

MOPS Kids Arrival and Pick-up
MOPS Kids drop-off begins at 9:15 a.m. and ends promptly at 11:15 a.m. We want to respect the time of our childcare workers and volunteers so we ask that you be prompt when picking up your children. You are encouraged to continue with play dates, lunch, or fellowship once you have picked up your child and their belongings.
We will be using Grace Fellowship's name-tag system for signing children into MOPS Kids and for picking them up. When you arrive, you will use your 10 digit phone number to sign-in at the nametag kiosk. After signing-in at the kiosk your child's name will pop-up. Select the corresponding room for each child. When you have finished your child's name-tag will print in addition to yours. Please place the child's name-tag on his or her back. Then take your child to their assigned room. You will keep the parent name-tag which has a corresponding number to your child(rens). When you go to pick-up your child in his or her classroom, show the corresponding parent label to the childcare workers. Childcare workers will cross-reference your child's number and your number that have been placed on the name-tags to ensure they match. If you do not have your parent label at pick-up we will ask for a photo ID. The security of our children is extremely important to us so please be prepared for our policies to be enforced.

General MOPS Kids Guidelines
- While we love your children, we do not love germs! Please do NOT bring your child to MOPS Kids if they have had a fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, diarrhea, have been vomiting, or have been on an antibiotic within 24 hours. If you are in doubt, please keep your child home. We ask that you be respectful and courteous of health concerns with the classroom.
- Inform the MOPS Kids Coordinator of allergies or other health issues that may arise or be of concern to your child.
- Label your child’s necessities: bottles, sippy cups, diaper bags, pacifiers, etc. This will help the childcare workers ensure that your child is receiving only his or her things. Childcare workers will also be able to easily return your items at the end of class.
- Children will be assigned to a MOPS Kids classroom. However if the MOPS Kids Team feels that a child needs to be moved to a different room the change will be made accordingly. The MOPS Kids Team wants to ensure that each child is in the appropriate environment that meets his or her needs.
- Appropriate behavior is expected from children at all times. Wild running, yelling, hitting, biting, and disrespectful behavior will not be accepted. We will discuss any of our concerns with you if a situation is to arise. We do understand that some of these behaviors are phases and we will show grace and love accordingly.
- Communication is key. Please communicate with the MOPS Kids Coordinator and childcare workers to inform us of changes that your child might be experiencing. By informing us we will be able to best serve him or her with their individual needs.
- Children 6 months of age and older will have a light, low sugar, peanut free snack such as crackers, cheerios, pretzels and/or water. Inform us of food allergies. We ask that your child have breakfast before he or she arrives to MOPS Kids. A snack sign-up sheet will be placed outside of the classroom.
- MOPS Kids has a 10 minute cry policy. If your child cannot be comforted within that time frame, we will contact you to settle him or her and then retry your child in his or her room again. Toddlers will not be allowed in the MOPS meeting in order to maintain the atmosphere of the MOPS environment.
- Moms are encouraged to breastfeed in the MOPS meeting or the designated quiet room. Children 4 months and older are strongly encouraged to be taken back to the nursery after their feeding. By returning your child to his or her environment we are creating consistency.
- Leave all toys (unless a security item) at home.
